Happenings

This past week has been one of ups and downs. I was feeling very down and upset most of last week, I feel bad for Porter who had to put up with me. For those of you who don't know my mom has Alzheimer's and I was extremely angry about it last week, mostly because I get overwhelmed with being a mom and how to handle things and when I would normally call my mom she's not really there to give me the help/advice that I need. None of my sisters have kids yet and so I feel very alone sometimes because I don't have anyone to go to for advice, and yet when my sisters have their own kids they can call me because I've already gone through it. So in a way I feel like a guinea pig. And I know there's so many people who help me (friends and family) and I'm probably just being stubborn but it's not my mom's advice that they always give and that's what I want. I'm getting emotional about it right now again just thinking about it.

Ok onto happier things. We went to the circus and the zoo this past week. Both were really fun and Harrison loved it. I was a little nervous about the circus because Harrison is such a busy body and hates to sit still for a long period of time, but he did really really well (thanks Jaklyn for the idea of going!). And we snuck down to better seats so we ended up having a whole row to ourselves which gave him a little room to move around.

Then on Monday our housing community charted a bus for anyone who wanted to go to the zoo so Porter took the afternoon off and came with us. It was so much fun, and hot!! 90 degrees! But I was really impressed because we were only there for a few hours but all the animals seemed really active when we were there.

So funny thing is Harrison doesn't like to touch the grass with his hands so this is him trying to get up without touching the grass!

Easter and a new phone

Last week I upgraded my phone to the iphone and I must say at first I was hesitant, these days I'm pretty much indecisive about everything due to being pregnant, but after the first day I absolutely loved it. I love the fast camera because it lets me capture more/better moments with Harrison than my old phone did because it's so fast.....here are a few examples.

There's this tree that's on base that's pretty close to our house that I just had to take a picture of. It's a split tree so half of the blossoms are white and half of them are pink, it's so cool!

And is it just me or are all Easter Bunny costumes super creepy!

Getting his face painted. He even gave her a piece of chocolate on his own to the woman afterwards like it was payment.
